Below you find a summary of the restoration and a listing of modifications and preparations which have been carried out on this very special Austin Healey 3000 Mk II BN7 rally car.

Chassis 
Sandblasted and reinforcements welded to the engine mounting points, wishbone fixing points and anti-sway bar mounts. Roll cage supports and safety belt fixing points were strengthened. Rear chassis outriggers reinforced for extra weight of larger fuel tank and 2 spare wheels; sump guard for carter protection etc., all exactly as per works rally specification.

Engine
Was brought to Dymotrack (M. von Balluseck) a Dutch tuning specialist, for general overhaul and mild tuning to road - rally spec.
Light alloy cylinder head, polished and gas flowed.
Crankshaft nitrated and balanced with all moving parts.
Lightened flywheel, alloy back plate, alloy strengthened oil sump
Tuftrided rocker shaft
New pistons ( +0.40”),larger valves, valve seats.
Re-profiled camshaft, new bearings, etc.
3 SU HD6 carburetors, adapted balance pipe, inlet manifolds, K§F air filters.
Oil cooler behind openings in shroud bottom 
Up rated high capacity radiator
Gear reduction starter motor

Exhaust
Tubular exit competition manifold, ceramic coating for optimal heat insulation and rust protection.
Side exit silencer with adapted chassis outrigger

Suspension and brakes
front suspension and disc brakes from BJ8 (MKIII) with stronger stub axels, new king pins, discs and larger calipers
dual circuit brake cylinder
7/8 “ anti roll bar
reconditioned up rated front shocks, 
stronger elliptic 8 blade rear springs

Rare original factory 2 seater hard top with rally vent
Bare metal re-spray
Underside anti stone chip coated
Side vents in front wings
Works rally boot lid ( for 2nd spare wheel) and period Lucas reverse light
Air scoop on bonnet
'Sprite' rear overriders
Shroud integrated high beam lights (as first mounted on RAC rally cars in 1962)

Le Mans type wing mounted rear view mirrors, and for those whole enjoy the authentic period accessories, as finishing touch, the Lucas de-misters as can be spotted on the period rally car pictures, and now almost impossible to find.
