Information
Austin Motor
Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motor show" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. 6 cylinder
in-line engine Austin Healey 3000 MK IIa, year 1963. Colour dark green with a black leather interior. This Austin Healey is in very good to excellent- condition. This fine 'Big Healey' was imported to the Netherlands fourteen years ago. The automobile was sold by us to the current owner in 2005. The car was punctually serviced and maintained in our workshops. Service history of the last fourteen years is present. This Healey drives delightful and the car features chrome wire wheels, a MotoLita steering wheel with wooden rim, chrome badge bar, and additional driving lamps at front. This Mk II a is a so called 'convertible'. The car sports roll up windows and the easy to erect soft top just like the Mk III!
