Information

The Jaguar XK 120 was introduced in 1948, and caused an immediate sensation. The XK 120 had a top speed of 120 miles an hour (about. 200 km/h) and was the fastest production car for sale at that time. The XK 120 was designed by Jaguar’s boss and founder William Lyons. The bodywork had an almost sculptural design, with sober, well-chosen flowing lines and beautiful curves. With its exquisite long bonnet and elongated wing lines, the XK 120 has a very dynamic charisma.

Together with the XK 120, the new Jaguar "XK"  straight-six engine was introduced which, for the next forty years, was to attire all Jaguar models in ever improved forms. The XK 120 was available in three versions: as a roadster, the slightly larger DHC (Drop Head Coupe) and as the FHC (Fixed Head Coupe) with a fixed steel roof. The XK 120 was built until 1954 and was followed by the XK 140.

Information

Jaguar XK 120 OTS, year 1954. Colour silver metallic with a red leather interior. This beautiful Jaguar XK 120 OTS  (Open Two Seater - also named roadster) was extensively restored in the past. The automobile is in very good condition. This XK 120 features a 5-speed manual gearbox (modification) strongly adding to the delightful driving experience. The owner had some details modified to his own views and comfort: the back rests of the seats are of a differently sculpted model so people with longer legs will fit in the car (the original back rests are present). Further more the luggage compartment has been altered. The spare tire is now on the 'top shelf' of the boot together with the re-located battery. Of course these alterations can be reversed. This beautiful XK 120 roadster sports silver enameled wire wheels and additional driving lamps.
