Information
Austin Motor
Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motorshow" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. Six cylinder
engine Austin Healey 3000 Mk I, year 1959. Colour black over red with black enameled wire wheels. Red leather interior and red mohair weather equipment. This fantastic 'Big Healey' was extensively restored, the engine was overhauled and tuned. The automobile is in excellent to superb (excellent+) condition and the car drives magnificent! The driver seat position has been modified to offer space for tall drivers! This car has a fantastic appearance in this colour combination. The sound is also of the fabulous kind thanks to the side exhaust! This Austin Healey car features beautiful red weather equipment, a tonneau cover in the same colour, additional driving lamps at the front, an automatic Kenlow fan and K&N sports air-filtres. The interior and boot have some custom options like a stowage space under the arm rest and metal trim on edges which are prone to wear. A stunning machine! This
classic car was sold to Belgium by info@imparts.nl |
