The Porsche 968 was presented in the year 1991. Right from the start buyers had the choice between a coupe and a cabriolet model. The Porsche 968 was a evolution of the Porsche 944 S2. The 968 featured a powerful 240 bhp. 3 Litre Porsche engine which drove the rear wheels through a gearbox fitted to the differential (Transaxle). Standard the car was fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 4-speed 'Tiptronic' was optionally available as was a limited slip differential. The motoring press and drivers were impressed by the road holding and balance of the Porsche 968. In 1993 the program was extended with a lightened model: the 968 CS (Club Sport). The CS was stripped of 50 kg. and amongst others fitted with more powerful brakes, ABS, wider Cup style alloy wheels and light Recaro bucket seats. The last introduced model was the 968 Turbo S which was as fast as the 911 (964) Turbo with a top speed of 280 km/h.! The Porsche 968 was built from July 1991 until August 1995. A total of just above 11.240 cars was built. 5731 coupe models, 3959 cabriolet models, 1538 CS models and 14 Turbo models.

Porsche Porsche 968 CS (Club Sport), year 1993. Colour Guards red with a black interior. This magnificent Porsche 968 is in superb (excellent++) original condition, like new! The car has driven 85.850 km documented kilometres from new. The Porsche 968 was built from 1991 until 1995. In total 11.245 cars (5731 coupe/3959 cabriolet) and only 1538 of these lighter Club Sport cars were built. The CS was 50 kg. lighter than the standard coupe model. This fantastic 968 CS shows all original details, is fitted with Recaro bucket seats, no rear bench and a detachable sliding roof panel. A rare car, a superb driver and highly desirable! It will be hard to find a Porsche 968 Club Sport in better shape!
