Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motor show" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. 6 cylinder
in-line engine Austin Healey 3000 Mk IIa (convertible), year 1963. Chassis number: HBY7L/21902, engine number: 29AW/RC/H13422, matching numbers. Colour pale blue metallic over crème white. Beautiful original black leather interior trimmed with white piping. Black vinyl soft top and hood cover. This fantastic Austin Healey was sold new in the Netherlands in 1963! The car sports the classic blue registration number MS-78-96! The car has been perfectly maintained over the years; this Healey is in excellent condition! The last and very cautious owner purchased this beauty in the year 1980... 33 years ago! Recently the car was fully inspected in the Lex Classics workshop and fitted with a new aluminium petrol tank, stainless steel exhaust system, new water pump and a new windscreen. This fine Healey Mk IIa drives and sounds delightful. The Austin Healey Mk II is the first Big Healey featuring the convenient convertible top and roll up windows. This combined with the classic dashboard of the Mk I and Mk II models! This
