The Jaguar Mk IV 3.5 Litre DHC was sold as SS 3.5 Litre DHC before world war two. The SS 3.5 Litre was introduced in the year 1937. After 1945 Swallow Sidecar Company (SS) changed it's name to Jaguar. Immediately after the war the graceful Mk VI was put back in production and it was produced until 1948. From 1937 until 1948 5424 SS and Jaguar Mk IV 3.5 Litre cars have been built. The Mk IV was available as saloon and Drop Head Coupe model.
De Jaguar Mk IV was succeeded by the Jaguar Mk V.
The Mk V was basically the same car but it was given a new front with the driving lamps integrated in the front wings. The Mk V was also fitted with hydraulic brakes.

Sales information

Jaguar Mk IV 3.5 Litre Drophead Coupe (DHC), year 1947. Chassis number 6317106, engine number SL2799. Colour British Racing Green with a green leather interior. Green enameled wire wheels and a brown three position hood. This impressive Jaguar Mk IV DHC was sold new in Belgium and the car is still registered in this country. This is an original left hand driven Jaguar Mk IV of which only 376 cars were made. The automobile is in superb (excellent+) condition! The engine was overhauled in the year 2007. The body was given perfect new paintwork and a new 3-position hood was fitted. Invoices are present.
This delightful automobile sports additional driving lamps at the front, a Stainless Steel exhaust and twin fuel pumps. Nice details are the complete original toolbox in the boot lid, the three position hood, the classic mechanical trafficators, the height adjustable seats, and the front windscreen which can be openened!
