Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motor show" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey Six-cylinder
engine Austin Healey 3000 Mk I BN7 'two seater', year 1959. Chassis number HBN7L/2902, engine number 29KR-U-H8099. Colour dark grey metallic with a red leather interior. Black mohair tonneau cover. This fantastic 'Big Healey' was imported from the USA. The automobile was extensively restored in the Netherlands, the work finished in 2011. This Healey is in superb (excellent+) condition and the car drives perfect! The engine has been replaced by a later and more powerful 150 bhp. 3000 Mk III unit fitted with three SU carburettors. The car features wide chrome wire wheels, additional driving lams at the front, overdrive, disc brakes at the front wheels, oil filter cartridge modification, aluminium high capacity radiator, oil cooler, servo brakes, Stainless Steel exhaust, aluminium petrol tank, special petrol filler cap with lock, MotoLita sports steering wheel, side screens with bag, tow points at the front, chrome bumper overriders at the rear, aluminium hood/bonnet with louvers, center shift gearbox, front wing vents and a sports grille.
