The Jaguar XK
120 was introduced in 1948, and caused an immediate sensation. The XK
120 had a top speed of 120 miles an hour (about. 200 km/h) and was the
fastest production car for sale at that time. The XK 120 was designed by
Jaguar’s boss and founder William Lyons. The bodywork had an almost
sculptural design, with sober, well-chosen flowing lines and beautiful
curves. With its exquisite long bonnet and elongated wing lines, the XK
120 has a very dynamic charisma. Six cylinder
in-line engine (DOHC) Jaguar XK 120 SE Open Two Seater (OTS/roadster), year 1954. Chassis number: S 674647. Colour British Racing Green with a beige leather interior. This fabulous Jaguar XK 120 SE roadster was sold new in the USA. This is a rare factory original Special Equipment (SE) model fitted with the more powerful engine. The automobile was imported to the Netherlands in the year 2003. The car was extensively restored, a photo reportage and documents of the restoration are present. In 2013 the XK 120 was registered and driven fro the first time. The car is in superb (excellent++) condition, concours! The automobile features silver enameled (54 spokes) wire wheels, a badge bar, tripod headlamps, a Stainless Steel exhaust system, Kenlow cooling fan, tool roll, tyre pump, crick and a grease gun.
