Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls
Court Motor show" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey
Motor Corporation. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's. The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. 6 cylinder

This magnificent Austin Healey was nut and bolt restored from the bare metal by the renown firm of Piet Mozes Restorations in the Netherlands. The restoration was completed in the year 2008 and the automobile has driven 975 miles ever since. This Austin Healey 3000 Mk IIa is in concours (show) condition! The bodywork is a piece of art with perfect panel fit and fantastic paint work. An extensive photo reportage of the restoration is present. This Big Healey sports wire wheels, overdrive, Kenlow electric fan, aluminium rocker cover, high torque starter motor, electronic ignition, alarm and an adjustable steering wheel. The Austin Healey Mk IIa is the first Big Healey featuring the convenient convertible top and roll up windows. This combined with the classic dashboard of the Mk I and Mk II models!
