The MG TA is the successor of the MG J- and P- type Midgets. The MG T- series is, according to lots of enthusiasts, the archetype of the pre-war sports car. The pre-war design shows beautiful sober lines and large wheels. the wooden dashboard shows very nice gauges and details.
the MG TA was powered by a 1292 cc. four-cylinder engine with overhead valves giving a power-output of 50 bhp. The MG TA was build until the year1939 and replaced by the MG TB.

Information

MG TA 'Tickford' Drophead Coupe, year 1938. Colour Black with black enameled wire wheels, beige leather interior and a beige mohair hood. Chassis number: TA 2843. This beautiful MG TA 'Tickford' was sold new in the UK but shortly there after sold to the Netherlands. The engine has been upgraded to an XPAG with number 20003. The automobile is beautifully documented and all owners from new are known! The originality of the car and all it's numbers have been checked in the register of the 'Tickford' body shop (Salmons in Newport Pagnell). The car is also listed in the TA TB Tickford register. This delightful automobile has been restored to very high standards over the last years, the car is in concours (show) condition. In the Netherland this delightful MG is known as the 'Mollema Tickford' the surname of it's first Dutch owner.
