The Jaguar XK
140 replaced the famous XK 120 and was brought onto the market in 1954.
The XK 140 was an evolution of the XK 120 with some visual differences
and technical improvements. The handsome and dynamic features remained
largely unchanged. New was the grille, which counted fewer vertical
bars; the rear lights were larger, the bumpers were thicker, and the
front indicators, which were placed on the front of the front wing. The
important technical improvement was that the XK 140 was provided with a
rack and pinion steering which greatly improved steering and driving. Six-cylinder
engine Jaguar XK 140 OTS (roadster), year 1956. Colour Maroon red with a light beige leather interior. This magnificent Jaguar was extensively and professionally 'body off' restored. Of course including overhaul of the engine, gearbox and overdrive. New wiring loom and perfect chrome. This Jaguar XK 140 OTS is in concours (show) condition! The automobile features the original disc wheels in combination with the 'spats' at the rear wheels! Further more the car sports a black mohair soft top with original glass rear window, a black mohair tonneau cover, a Stainless Steel exhaust and an aluminium petrol tank. This is a top specimen and the car drives absolutely perfect. Price: on request, please call. Classic Cars
